Dropshipping suspension appeals: examine the fulfillment process
The issue is the real customer-facing fulfillment process, not whether a supplier calls its service “dropshipping.”
Editorial education, not official Amazon policy or legal advice. Policies change, so check the current official pages and your own notice.
Read the seller-of-record concern
Amazon’s Drop Shipping Policy does not say every form of third-party fulfillment is automatically prohibited. It says the customer must clearly see you as the seller of record. It identifies problems such as another seller appearing on packing slips, invoices, or external packaging, and explains supplier-agreement and returns responsibilities.
A dropshipping suspension appeal should therefore describe how orders were actually fulfilled. A supplier’s assurance that a service is “Amazon compliant” is not evidence of what customers received. Read your notice to determine whether the restriction concerns specific seller-fulfilled offers, your merchant-fulfilled selling privileges, or the wider account.
Do not confuse a product-authenticity request with the fulfillment issue. A genuine product may still arrive with another retailer’s identity on its packaging. Conversely, changing packaging does not establish product authenticity if Amazon separately asks about sourcing.
Trace an affected order from purchase to return
Choose the orders Amazon identifies, if any, and reconstruct the actual workflow from your available records. This preparation is not a demand to manufacture a new checklist of documents; it is a way to test whether your explanation matches the business process.
- Record who held the inventory, who received the order, who packed it, and who handed it to the carrier.
- Review genuine packing slips, invoices, packaging photographs, and supplier instructions where available.
- Keep the real supplier agreement and any correspondence about seller identification; do not claim an agreement exists if it does not.
- Explain who handled customer questions and returns, and identify any gap between the planned process and what occurred.
Describe completed changes with operational detail
If you found a real failure, separate the cause from the fix. “We will follow all policies” does not explain why a third party’s name appeared or what now prevents the same shipment pattern. Describe the specific process you changed, when the change occurred, and how you checked it, but only if you actually did those things.
Amazon’s policy requires an agreement identifying you as the only seller of record in the relevant customer-facing information, removal of identifying material for another seller or supplier before shipment, and responsibility for accepting and processing returns. Check the complete current policy and your notice instead of treating this summary as an exhaustive approval checklist.
If your position is that the restriction was applied in error, build that explanation around the affected orders and the available packaging and fulfillment records. Do not admit a violation merely because a generic POA template contains an admission. Equally, do not deny a customer-facing document that your records show was present.
Use the requested Seller Central response path. If Amazon also asks for sourcing documents, provide those separately through the instructed workflow; a fulfillment narrative cannot replace them.
Mistakes to avoid
A useful final review asks whether someone could follow the order path from your explanation without needing to infer missing facts. If an important part is unknown, say so and determine how to establish it before making a confident claim.
- Saying you stopped dropshipping when you only renamed the same fulfillment arrangement.
- Presenting a supplier’s marketing page as proof of what happened on affected orders.
- Promising packaging inspections, inventory controls, or training that have not been implemented.
- Blaming the supplier without explaining your own seller responsibilities and verified changes.
Prepare facts before requesting a draft
InstantPOA can organize the process failure, completed corrections, and realistic prevention measures you describe into an editable AI draft. It cannot audit a warehouse, inspect a shipment, negotiate a supplier agreement, or certify compliance.
Bring the actual notice and known fulfillment facts to the intake. Verify every generated sentence before submitting to Amazon. A polished Amazon Plan of Action cannot promise reinstatement or overcome missing operational changes. InstantPOA is independent of Amazon and supplies drafting assistance, not representation.

Questions sellers ask
Does Amazon ban all dropshipping?
Amazon’s policy allows third-party fulfillment only under its stated conditions, including clear seller-of-record identification and returns responsibilities. Read the complete current policy; do not rely on a blanket yes or no.
Is a new supplier enough to resolve the notice?
Not necessarily. Explain the actual failure and how the current process addresses it. A new supplier name does not by itself demonstrate compliant packaging, seller identification, returns, or sourcing.
Can InstantPOA verify my supplier’s shipping process?
No. You must establish the facts and any completed changes. The service drafts from your inputs and cannot independently inspect or certify the fulfillment arrangement.
